I just sourced the repair part for this rubber toggle. Gotta say it, (the BMW part#61 31 7 849 407) is listed at $312.39 (yikes) and that's more than I'm willing to spend for the ability to jump my cruising speed by 5 mph!

I have thought about trying "Gorilla" contact cement or any kind of rubber cement but I'm afraid that could just gum up the works.

Or....

I can learn how to use the paddle shifters (I've had the car for 2 years now and have never used them) with the different performance themes (eco, comfort, sport, etc.) BMW has already dialed in.
