Looking into it further, the ACS version might not be lower. Although the Schnitzer spring is shorter, the change might be more to do with driving dynamics than appearance.

Eibach: 94mm dia, 14.00mm wire, 294mm free length, 9.75 turns.

ACS: 100mm dia, 14.75mm wire, 288mm free length, 8.75 turns.

So the AC Schnitzer springs are shorter but larger diameter and thicker wire. The Eibach version is a generic item found on lots of models whereas the ACS item has a specific F36 part number, so I suspect was made to help the slightly wayward rear end of the GC with its heavy tailgate.
