And is there any good reason to go 19x9 over 19x8.5?

Would 245/40r19 work? Playing on willtheyfit.com there appears to be no difference between that setup and the stock 245/45r18 setup, and a twitch more sidewall on the 19’s would be good.

Or would you recommend an 18 setup?
These are good questions, and we've documented most of them in our F3x fitment guide here: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

The 19x9" ET28 ARC-8 or 19x9" ET30 SM-10 wheels could work but would require narrower tires and/or front negative camber as seen in the photos of the red car above. Aside from that, we do not currently produce any other 19x9" wheels that would fit.

The 245/40-19 is indeed nearly identical in diameter to the 245/45-18, and would work well. The extra sidewall would help a bit with ride quality too if you drive on rough roads.

We do typically recommend 18" setups, unless the looks of 19" wheels are preferred. 18s are lighter and less expensive, making them a better choice for performance.

I was leaning towards 19's but all the positives of 18's sound good too. How about tires are 19's generally more expensive too? What size tires are recommended for the 18" staggered? 245/40/18 and 265/35/18? 8.5 ft 9.5 rear?
