If you want meaningful Diagnosis, as in to interpret fault Codes, then you need ISTA/D. I cannot help you with ISTA though.

If you just want to clear the fault codes, as most times they are not persistent and thus need no interpretation, then you need only E-Sys:

1. Click "External Applications" in the left menu.
2. Click "External Application"
3. Double-click "Transmitter"
4. Scroll to the bottom and click "14 FF FF FF,31 01 0F 06,31 01 40 00 00,31 01 40 00 05,31 01 40 00 01;Clear all DTCs (clear DTC,clear Infospeicher,ZFS – DM_Lock,clear ZFS – DM_Clear,ZFS – DM_Unlock)"
5. Click Connect
6. Click Send
