I know most other people rack up miles much faster than me, but I've now put about 4000 miles on the monoball plates in the past 7 months and still no metallic sounds or rattling. Honestly, I've had plates in the past that began rattling within 100 miles so I'm not very worried about these at all. Very satisfied with the results. I won't be driving it much now that it's winter, so don't expect many updates from me until March
