BMW F32 Axle Seals

Hello,
I own a 2015 428i coupe. I recently took the car to the dealership to perform a diagnosis on time chain, since they have an extended warranty for 7 years.

Couple hours later, of course I get bunch of recommendations from BMW lol:
- Replace Rear brake pads, rotors and sensor @ $830
- Replace both rear axle seals @ $1360
- Replace battery @ $476
- Perform coolant fluid exchange service @ $282

I will be replacing myself the brakes, rotors, wear sensor & install new battery (with registration of battery).
My question is what's up with the rear axle seals?? So expensive. Can someone give some insight on how crucial is that to be fixed? I have not received any warning on my dashboard. But the technician did share a video showing some leak around the differential. It seems too complicated to be a DIY project but i could be wrong.

Thanks
