Just took delivery of a 2017 340i xDrive, 6 speed MT, M Performance I & II. Brilliant car. Sold a DD 2004 911 C4S, so any car following it would be a tough compare. Love the 340i with the MPPSK.

Living in Toronto, I've got to figure out a winter wheel set up.

I'm considering replacing the 19' Style 442M wheels with 18's for summer and winter with either VMR 710's or Avant Garde M359's. Just love the CSL / competition look of the older BMW 359 wheels.

Reason I'm considering running the 18's all year round is because:

1) I'd run 18's in the winter regardless
2) I can't find a VMR 710 or AV 359 set up that matches the OEM 442 staggered set up for summer.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong - but neither marque makes 19 x 8 or 19 x 8.5 wheels. So I'd park the 19's and just run 18's all year round with different tires.

Question: If you've got the 19' Style 442 set up like I do, can you run the 18' 'Track Handling Package' tire set up without negatively affecting gearing ratios (etc) and fitting over the M Sport Brakes? That package has 18" X 8.0" FR & 18" X 8.5" and P225/45R18 Fr & P255/40R18. VMR makes a 18 x 8 and 18 x. 8.5 wheels, so I could in theory run those wheels with new winter / summer tires and get the CSL look I want.

Thanks for reading...any thoughts/comments appreciated.
