Mine is a 2014 335i Xdrive built in August 2013 with Connected Drive. Everything seems to work fine so I'm inclined to not bother.
When I check the iDrive firmware version under Nav/Options/Softwareinfo it says: NBT_B13185A which I assume is the version that came with the car.
A bit confused by some of the posts reporting that NBT_G or higher is needed to apply any of these upgrades. Also nothing on the Canadian site or MyBMW that advises an update. When I check the query on BMW.COM it presents the 2 update options based on build dates.

Just catching up on this now. Any one tried updating their software? Any changes (e.g. is the display icon for the heated steering wheel a part of this)?
On a somewhat related note, anyone updated their Nav maps? Any clues on how to go about doing this would be appreciated.
