Yeah this is really getting fucking old. A couple days to sort out a bug is reasonable - several weeks is inexcusable. I could have written a new weather app several times over in the amount of time its been down.

'backend' issue is refers to the code running on BMW's servers. Front-end is software that runs on a client like code running in your browser on your PC, or the software in your car that displays information on the iDrive screen. Backend is the code the generates the data that is sent to the car.
