Well he also asked if the software/maps evolve, and they do. That's all i was clarifying. You provided a single "no", which can easily be interpreted as meaning the maps are never updated, since he did ask that question. Just making sure he understands that there are sometimes new maps when the application is updated, albeit not every time.
But yeah, you never
need to update just because there is a new map version. Don't fix what's not broken, right?
But he was also the person who seemed to have a lot of complains/XHP issues, so might be worth him getting the newest version.
