I chose the GT (320d) for it's looks. I don't spend any time in the back seat and my 12 y/o daughter would fit fine in any BMW, the extra room is just a bonus. I never test drove any other model before chosing, but a had a look at Audi A4 and Volvo V60.
It's a company car and I went from a Volvo V60 to the GT. BMW had a campaign together with Swedish Childhood Foundation (where my wife works) at the time and gave me a sweet deal on the lease, even cheaper than my V60.
We can't choose more than the basics when choosing company cars, but at least I got xdrive, automatic and Advantage Edition.
I added PPK myself, worth every penny!!!
