From the newTIS.info guide, it's located underneath the car above the driveshaft.
Doesn't look like an easy job and looks like you may have to drop the driveshaft unless there is enough clearance to get a ratchet or spanner in.
There is absolutely no reason to remove the drive shaft. There is an official BMW revision on this issue and it's quite simple to fix (with the proper tooling of course). You need to remove the exhaust system along with the heat shields. Once that's done, the bracket will be easily accessible. Hope this helps anyone in the future.
