Your best bet would be to contact Mgflasher and seek comment on this topic. AFAIK, EGTs are much higher when running a stage 2 tune so they would know what's best. B48 runs at 14.7 AFRs stock so running rich/lean AFRs may not be a universal constant across all engines.
