That's what I figured. Anyways I'm trying to look at this as an opportunity to build it better. Anyone know anything about getting the cylinders bored out and upgrading pistons and rods? That would solve the issue right? Or should I move on from this engine as BMW suggests and get a low mileage used replacement? Will the b58 from the g20 m340 swap right in? (I'm sure I'm just dreaming now...lol) anyways I'm totally open to suggestions and others experiences as this is the first catastrophic engine "failure" I've had to deal with...
