I haven't done much driving in RWD mode at all, AWD is much more my style if you notice in my garage, Tesla D, S63AMG with 4-Matic, VW Tiguan with 4-Motion I could barely handle the SL63 RWD on the stock flash, now with an Alpha tune it's got so much torque it scares me that all of it goes only to the rear axle.

I also actually have not used the fuse method yet there's a couple other ways to do it. I've done it by coding with E-Sys and accidentally inducing a self-healing fault code related to transfer box oil temps on a dyno.
But I've actually been working on a project much like your idea to add a switch on the fuse in order to do burnouts on the dragstrip, and even create a better version of launch control for xDrive cars by gaining manual control over the clutch in the transfer box.
Project is still in very early stages but it's promising so far.
