I check my oil about every 1k miles and even the last check right before i change it at the end of the year, its still full. So i have also questioned how accurate it is. my car just hit 65k miles, a 2013 F30 PWG. I have seen several people out their who go through a quart every couple thousand miles, mine is a quart every 3 months or so, quick math is about 2,500 miles..
