Brakes were replaced under warranty. The dealer offers a 2yr maintenance contract for $2,200. The dealer has a good reputation and so far I have been pleased by their service, professionalism etc.
Assuming a continued 7,000 miles per year (and easy suburban/highway miles at that), is the $2,200 for 2 years a good deal vs paying the dealer for each maintenance event? I have trouble adding up enough maintenance to reach an average of $1,100/year. Presumably the maintenance covers brakes, oil and other fluid changes, filters, inspections - anything else?
Yes, I know much less $$$ at independent guy, but let's ignore that for now.

I would argue a pre-paid maintenance contract is not worth it, no matter how many miles you put on your car.
