I had an interesting experience in my 30d X5 that permanently spooked me off eco pro. The first time I tried it I was in a country road and attempted to overtake another car without realising that I was in eco pro and it was so bad.
I narrowly missed hitting an oncoming car head on as just before impact the engine finally kicked in and pulled the car.
Bad news was the oncoming car that I nearly crashed into was an unmarked police car who then turned around followed and stopped me and I had to use a significant amount of wit to wiggle out of getting charged with 'reckless dangerous driving' which is a criminal offence.
I will Never use eco pro in the highway. I do use
eco pro when in crawling traffic <20mph any speed over that is comfort for me.
