Just changed oil: potentially stripped plug

Hello,

Just changed oil and while putting the plug in and setting my torque wrench to 8lb I noticed that it kept spinning so I stopped. The area where the Allen meets the plug is a little deformed and I noticed that the plug kept going.

My question is which has more potential to strip? The plug or the pan? Hopefully the plug is just a little stripped and able to be extracted not a big deal. Do plugs strip more often then pans or is the whole guy done for?

Also how much does this usually cost to fix if it is?

Will take it to a shop tommorrow. No more diy for me..
