Yeah, I've noticed that with the F30. The 330i was somewhat of an awkward model in the F30 range. The 320i was the lease special in USA/Canada, diesels and the 330e had more sales in Europe for tax/consumption purposes, and enthusiasts gravitated towards the 340i. To me it appears that the 330i, at least in North America, was for the non enthusiast 3 series buyer who wanted to option their car up to a level of luxury not available for the 320i.
My car is really odd because it was ordered by the dealer as a loaner car. I don't understand why they hadn't ordered a 320i instead to use as a loaner considering that my car is not heavily optioned.
