Didn't get it checked out. I just fill up my tank and the noise goes away. I've learned the 340 (I suppose the F30 in general) has a bunch of annoying creaks, rattles, and knocks. I just live with it at this point.

Wow! Now this is making me wonder if BMW didn't do enough testing when they engineered the 340i. And yes, I was between 1/8 to 1/4 tank when it happened the first time which was when the dealer full tank of gas was almost gone. Then it happened again today a week and a half later. It was gone right after I filled up. So the key is to keep it above 1/4 tank full BUT this noise is bothering me. My 2015 335ix that I traded in didn't have this noise.
