Agree that it's a "cleaner" look, but is that main reason I've observed BMW's in particular often not having model designators on the trunk or boot on my travels to UK/EU countries? Almost sounds from the UKF30's post that it's perhaps a bit of a "member" thing as true cognoscenti would be expected to recognize the model regardless.
I'm pretty sure in recent past US ordered ED cars did have the option to not have model designators on car trunk but vaguely recall seeing a post a couple of years ago that this is no longer the case(?)
But I was asking just out of curiosity, Matt, really no intention to make you feel self-conscious but having the side 'M''s on the car! But if your name began with the letter 'L' would you have then gone with the Luxury package?
