Actually, it has been discussed on here for years that BMW is following Audi's business case by renaming the coupe version of the same car. Audi created the A5 (two door version of the A4) only to charge a premium because people "perceive" an A5 as higher than a A4 when they're essentially the same car.

I really didn't care either way what it's called but I did expect a little more premium feel from a car that I know will be quite a bit more expensive than the outgoing model. I thinking we will be looking at $60-65k for a fully equipped 435i M sport. That's a lot of $$$ for a 435i AKA 335i coupe my friend.
