Right.. Looks like the main points that really stand out to me are:
1)Power
2)Baby
3)Space

Pardon me if i'm being to blunt. I think Power and Baby and Space dont mix. If money is not a factor I would suggest a F10 535 if you want everything.

We've got a F10 for cruising and F30 for me to play. Truth be told I really want an M5 but it's way too expensive here.

Back on topic since you've got a kid on the way, 5 star safety rating would be your priority as well I'm guessing. I'm not sure what ANCAP rating Fords packing but would be good to compare. A 3 series would fit the baby seat just fine.

Would you want the bmw for comfort or sport? If it's comfort and a family vehicle your looking for you could probably get the f30 or X3's
To be honest the times I found for the G6ET tested 0-100km/h time of 5.3 seconds . Think some of the guys tested 328s with kickdown around 5.7sec and 335's bout 5.3 secs too.

For me the milisec difference could not justify the extra 20 k for a 335. To each his own.

Is keeping both of them a possibility? Or try the 335's if your keen on more power and happy with the size. You could get 520d as well for the cost of a souped up 328
