They are purely for the cool points. Plus they eat up pads faster.

Best bet is a blank rotor from BMW, Zimmerman, Brembo, R1 etc....and a set of pads that match your need.
This. Also, before swapping your rotors, use a vernier caliper to measure the wear. Usually rotors outlast a set of pads (assuming they're not warped or worn irregularly). If there's still plenty of material left, consider having the rotors turned. Otherwise, stick with blanks as Tchao suggested.

Upgraded brake lines outside of a track environment is a waste of money; stainless steel braided lines are also more prone to damage (dirt and debris find their way in between braids and damage the line).
