My DSM has no cat and at idle sometimes yes you can smell it. My 2 E36 M3's that I owned with Supersprint exhaust and no cats were the same as well. So an N55 with no cats will do the same thing 100%
Guarantee that running the car hard there will be a more negative effect in the car running stock FMIC and DP vs the car with Bigger FMIC and stock exhaust.
