It's a faulty batch of EGR coolers. Massive thread about it on the UK F30 board. Back log of parts on order slowly clearing. I stress, slowly. If your cooler is not suspected then everything else gets checked over anyway so in your case the cooler may be fine but the o-ring is to be replaced.
