Anything you put over the light will only cut down on the lumens, not magnify them.

I would speculate that the plastic cover itself is illuminated, which is why you can see it better, but that is because the plastic is mounted below the trim strip on the door panel, which in turn gives the double line people do not like, judging from the above comments.
The issue about the lines is the fact that the actual trim is separated in 3 pieces.

That's how the original 3D file was created, if you look closely you will see a line between the pieces.

This has been corrected with a new file. I guess we have to wait for them to come in and see the feedback.

Overall I happy with the look of it. Just need to have one solid picks across the door.

This is a 50$ project, trial and error.

I suggest watching the video on page on to get a better idea of the project.
