8hp70, Pure, upgraded internals?
Hey yall!
I have a 2018 340ix with a pure turbo, meth, the 9 yards. Making around 650tq and it’s finally come time where I’m getting transmission issues. I looking for personal experience or opinions on which route I should go based on price, install, longevity. I personally would like to do something like the 8hp70 or clutch pack (internal upgrade from jacks transmission) as it’s cheaper for the parts but I feel like it might cost more in labor as for clutch packs the trans would need taken apart and the hp70 is not 100% direct fit. On the flip side the most ideal for ease would be a direct drop in pure stage 1 trans but it’s 6k. Has anyone used any of these option and and input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
