But incredibly minor with no mechanical changes outside of the R getting a 7s DSG in place of the old 6s.
LED headlights and new bumpers plus a new head unit and all GTIs will have the current Performance Pack with the Rs brakes, 225hp instead of 215 on the S and an LSD.
But it will help pricing on remaining 17s. Be aware that finding a manual is pretty tough, at least here in TX. I ended up with an SE instead of a Sport because I couldn't find a Sport with a manual that wasn't black or white.
One 18 change I'm jealous of though, the SE will have the option for tartan cloth instead of the pleather.
The '19 Mazda 3 will be a new chassis and new engine. If you have the time to wait, could be worth seeing if it's worthwhile.
Of course it's probably worth mentioning that VW just upped their warranty to six years, which would have been nice.
