Valve Cover Replacement
Hi all, I just wanted to see if it was common to get the valve cover replaced? I'm getting my valve cover gasket replaced due to some oil leakage, but I was just curious on actually replacing the valve cover itself? The mechanic that is working on my car says he strongly recommends it, but I just want to be sure since the valve cover runs for about $400 and I haven't heard for that to be a common issue.
I have a 2008 335i with 120k miles - if that helps at all.
Also, he hasn't opened up the value to see if the cover is damaged at all.
