Thank you for sharing the awosome pics. It seems that you are professional photographer with all that equipment stuff. Just when you saw your "baby" for the first time in the BMW Welt hands got a bit shaky. I hope you enjoy driving in SoCal when the F30 has been shipped to the US. In LA I once saw a BMW still with ED license plates on the front. After delivery will you remove the german plates? Will you post some pics after the F30 has arrived in OC?
I will keep the german front plates for as long as the law allows me too.. :P
and yes of course i will post pics from re-delivery on... unless my cameras die before then.... or just gives up on their duty.

Fabulous write up and fabulous car!!!

Shane
yeah... 300... that's how many i shoot in one hour

Thanks Shane!
I remember when i was your age, i would be starring/drooling/dreaming at the Car&Driver magazine comparing the E36 M3 sedan to its competitors...
from then on, i was set to get my brand new BMW as soon as life would permit me to.
and today i finally got it!

Keep studying and working hard... you will get your brand new BMW with your own sweat, or if you are lucky to have parents give it to you
But enjoy it and be grateful for everything Man!

You have a lot in front of you, Life is NOT going to be easy, but Dont lose track of your goalS!

Make sure to prepare her mentally to the fact that there will be lots of driving ... But it's WORTH IT !!!
driving is not supposed to be a choir
driving is supposed to be a pleasure! especially in such a car, in such scenery How many times in your life can you do this...

well i understand it's not for everyone... but we gotta make sure we enJOY the Road of Life less wars ... more peace...

Your thread has earned a special place in my signature link under the "Fun Links"

I did test drive the new 335i earlier this year and found it to be a fun car.

Happy and safe trails always!

PS Will it be France and Germany or Germany and Spain in the Euro soccer tournement Final ... any thoughts? May the best team win
Thanks Alter Peter !!
The trip is not as perfect as i had in mind, it was still missing a lot of things...
i didn't get to do entirely everything that i set out to do...
but i guess i am harsher with myself, or having too high of expectations...
but at least i didn't most of what i wanted...

Thanks for keeping a reference of my thread in your links !

As for Soccer, I am always rooting for the underdog...

It's not so much i like to take pictures in a cowardly manner, actually i dont enjoy it... but i have too...
I have no choice!

Being asian, one of my legs is shorter than the others, so i cannot run as fast

I wish my next car could be the F80 4Door, doing ED... but i highly doubt it... unless i trade the F30

Thanks... and no my parents weren't annoyed... they are used to me taking pictures... and plus it wasn't as bad as you think...
they are very understanding parents, but most importantly we didn't have any agenda... the agenda was to take lots of pictures on our LONG way back to Paris... :P

Thats definitv the "Godfather of ED Trips" !!! THX for sharing!

I allmost *hit my pants when i saw that you eat the Weißwurst with skin , that must taste terrible
the skin didn't bother me... it didn't have any taste...
Is eating the skin considered by you Germans as similar to eating plastic bags?

you should try eating authentic chinese food... there is nothing part of animal that they leave out ... every part is consumed

or two, but MULTIPLE historic monuments and places is just awesome. BMW should have you collaborate with them to develop an extensive brochure for ED!
I should have thought about it... i was just not confident enought nor wasn't i sure i could have done it... the pressure and the promise based on
if i could have done such a trip in the first place...

But now in retrospective... having completed the whole thing: i think i could have saved a few thousands more if i had addressed this proposition to BMW :P

For me, the purpose of an ED is to get the car and to hit as many European landmarks as possible..
enjoying the car in Europe before it get shipped to the States... things you just cannot do once the car has crossed the pond...

well you could with a rental... but it's not your car :P
AND yeah, yes i know: you can enjoy such a trip with a rental just as much, if not more...
but i wanted to bond with my car

That's a great idea !! well actually, that's already on my list to do... but it will come slowly as i have other priorities...
but it will come some day... i have already spotted a few places in southern california
will continue to feed you if my GF allow me to :P

Actually, i am enjoying getting feedback from each one of you, since we all have different interests:
like bimmergasm below: who found that D3-272 stood out
I tried to take a variety of photos
