From my understanding of current emissions control programming, etc. Engine ECUs in modern vehicles basically run the engine as lean as possible from the factory to reduce emissions for testing. If I am right on this, wouldn't just slapping a boost controller like a JB+ on to the car cause increased wear over time, or does the Engine ECU automatically increase fueling to balance? I'm debating grabbing one of these or holding out for the BM3 release for the B46.

I logged my old Dinan sport when I still had it, and it did run a little bit leaner, in the 12.50 AFR range, as opposed to my current BM3 tune that stays in the high 11's and just barely crests 12.
