Well the dark side is definitely calling to me... I did actually send a few questions over to XHP Re: The trans tune and got some responses.

In response to my question "Are the stage 2 changes all still within safe parameters for the stock transmission?", XHP responded with the following:

"We do raise line pressures for faster shifting and the ability to run more torque with your tuner. Because the shifts are faster, there is less slip on the clutches and therefore less wear. This is all in safe parameters of the transmission. "

It seems they are stating that the trans tune would in fact provide LESS wear than a stock tranny tune. Now this seems kinda counterintuitive to me, since my impression would be that increasing line pressure would increase wear on the transmission. Am I right in this or am I missing something that would make their statement correct? Would the act of faster shifts actually somehow be better for the trans than stock?
