It's the same type of car the Toyota Venza and Honda Crosstour were. Neither of those made it to a second generation. I think it's a pretty small niche of buyers who want more space, but don't want a wagon nor an SUV. And once those buyers get theirs, the market for it dries up.
Time will tell if we'll see a second gen 5GT or 3GT...
