Fair comment and on reflection a poor example on my part! However, if 75mph is wrong then arguably so is a legal 60mph; if what you're envisaging is something stationery just over the crest then hitting it at 60mph is also likely to have nasty consequences. I guess the default is never go faster than the distance in which you can see to stop but to be clear I'm certainly not advocating reckless speeding.

And I'm not suggesting people should bitch and moan if caught not following the rules. All I'm saying is it perhaps makes sense to minimise your chances of getting caught for relatively minor indiscretions, especially as the use of camera technology is now making that more and more likely.
