I agree that people on here know their stuff when it comes to pricing. I really enjoy getting some feel for the market and a few tips reading various posts.
It’s still a shame people are sniping at ads. This is the classifieds section for selling stuff for goodness sake.
Ok you could say you’re preventing someone paying too much but if something is genuinely overpriced then no one sensible will buy it until it’s reduced to where someone decides it’s worth enough to them. The market regulates itself.
Just shitting on someone ad to show you’re more knowledgable because you’re not happy yourself is a dick move in my opinion.
Personally I put my car up for discussion trying to gauge the forum feeling for its value before listing as for sale. That way angry keyboard warriors, helpful forumites and potential buyers all are involved positively.
