I would not get hung up on BMW LL Propaganda!
Honestly. Of course if you have a diesel maybe pay closer attention but otherwise...
Choose a high quality, fully synthetic oil of the proper weight and change it regularly!
Im currently running Liqui Moly SAE 5w40.
Ive also ran Mobil 1 SAE 0w40 (walmart).
BOTH of these oils have fared well with Blackstone analyis... I can post if anyone wants to see.
Of course, I also run an OEM filter as well (every 5k).
I think stretching to 6-7k is perfectly fine but 10k+ is ridiculous for a vehicle that is owned.
