1) If you have ACC and it is activated, when you are completely stopped you can push the 'RES' button on the steering wheel and the car will start moving again (if nothing is in front of you). Furthermore, the light around the speedometer that indicates where the speed is set will change color: green means ACC is active and engaged, red means manual intervention is required to get the car moving again. When the car comes to a complete stop it takes approximately 3 seconds to turn from green to red.
2) PDC beeps in different frequencies if an obstruction is detected in the front or back. Also it will beep through the left or right speakers depending on where the obstruction is. (Can't believe it took me a year to notice that!)
