Whenever I'm back in Canada or the US, the red turn signals seem shocking.
At best they are just ugly. At worst, on some cars, they seem a little more dangerous as the same light starts blinking to turn.
I've read that it is due to a market perception in north America that feels amber turn signals are associated with cheap import cars. Might have been true in the past. Still true now?
