Max cooling has almost nothing to do with oil. Once your engine is at temp the coolant pump is almost always running anyway. On b58 engines the benefit Max cooling is in reference to your secondary water pump that controls the low temp coolant circuit for your water to air heat exchanger. Normally this pump only runs cool coolant through the system when certain temp limits are reached. With max cooling enabled it runs the pump as a circuit continuously so you don't have any intake fluctuations. I don't use it on my car as my IAT have never been a problem on a stage 2 tune... although summer is coming up and I'll have to keep an eye on it
