I had the max cooling enabled on my Stage 1 BM3 tuned 340i xDrive and noticed that I could hear what sounded like a fan running constantly. I worried it would possibly prematurely wear the part (cooling pump?) so I disabled max cooling. I no longer hear the fan or pump sound. It almost sounds like the AC fan to me, so if anyone can confirm if that is the cooling pump, that would be great too. Hope this helps!
