The BMW side of things is still there as-is. There's an option on the Android side to drop back to the BMW UI and when in the BMW UI you can just tap the screen to switch to Android. Or, you can just press and hold the menu button for a couple of seconds to toggle between the two. I like it because there's no compromises, you don't lose anything.

Have you tried your original screen again? Just in case you've somehow damaged the HSD cable. I managed to destroy mine by being an idiot a few days ago
