Changed from Bridgestone S001 RFT's to Continental Sport Contact 5 SSR RFT's a couple of years ago and found these to be much quieter and give a smoother ride than the Bridgestone's.

I have found both brands to wear relatively quickly though (especially the rears) given i don't do that many miles per year (circa 5-6k mainly town driving).

Maybe the tyre compounds are soft like Pirelli's? I need to change the rears as it loses grip it the wet. Any recommendations? I've seen Uniroyal RFT's at cheaper prices than Conti / Goodyear / Michelin's but not sure what they are like.
