I don't think you do, but it was a little unclear...but I hope that steak is cooked separately, specifically on a BBQ, though there are a few other methods I'd accept too...cast iron frying pan for one.
It is supposed to be done in an oven. Reverse sear FTW!

I don't get the snobbery part of being a "foodie". To me, it is someone who enjoys food, and trying new and fun food, that simple. Does not necessarily have to be expensive. Surprising how many people could actually care less.
