not sure if i agree with that. the extra 30 mm dont add that much weight, rather it's the larger wheel size. not to mention, the benefit of thicker rubber is not so much additional launch grip (which it does provide), but rather the ability to accelerate harder after you apex a curve and increase your straight line exit speed.
