I am glad we are getting diesels, and in more models than ever. So don't get me wrong. For some folks these are just what the doctor ordered. But I am not interested in sacrificing performance as compared to gasoline models - not just from BMW but from other manufacturers as well. The rebadging only adds insult to injury.

It is ironic that, just as BMW is starting to shoot for power/performance parity between similarly numbered diesel and gasoline models in the ROW, we get just the opposite.
i don't think we will see the 335d here in NA. it's a nice car, priced at the wrong end of the 3 series lineup. i think the next announcement will be a 535d.

i wish bmw would match the offering of the 328i. i.e. offer a rwd version with a manual and auto and a xdrive with auto only if they want to cut corners.
