Yes DDC is required OEM, I believe the option is M Adaptive Suspension. These connect up to the OEM control unit wiring to have the same damper control as you would have as stock and using the inbuilt sport/sport+ selector, but these would be better quality coilovers and springs that also allow allowing for a lower setup than OEM.
