I had same situation with my ebay downpipe.
Since downpipe is just a tube that has same dimensions as stock Cat i wasnt ready to spend 300$ for 1 hour of work. So i just used angle grinder and made the downpipe smaller and pushed the 2 together. Just make sure there are no holes so you wont have any leaks.
Honestly its just a bit of work for a lot of money saved.
