How about rubber gloves and either a barrier shield or bag valve mask? Basically a blood borne pathogens kit with trash bags for disposal.
A good basic go bag should work fine.
While you're at it latch onto a couple of packets for clotting a wound like we've used for gunshot or other nasty things.
